COLOR OF LOVE
At dawn I stand looking out over the ocean
The glorious sunrise brings forth a host of colors
I watch the sea gulls hover in the breeze
Waiting for a new day to be born
Drugged by a sense of over whelming peace
That you have brought into my life
Even the brilliant sunshine
Is easily eclipsed by your smile
And the magnificent blue of the sky
As it reflects in the ocean green
Is lost in comparison to your hazel eyes
And the thousand shades of color and light
That dance in the waves
Complimented only by the rainbow in the heavens
Is nothing compared to the color of love I feel

I awoke today with the morning sunshine
Slanting through the windows
Throwing bright golden shafts of light
All across the room
And every surface it kissed there was a silver twinkle
